Hallows of a Deathly Variety

I bought two copies of the final Harry Potter book early Saturday morning. I had waited in line for the previous two books, but I just couldn't bring myself to do it this time. I wasn't in a hurry to end my adventures with Harry. The second copy of the book went to my friend Sarah as a birthday present. She texted me Sunday to brag that she was over 400 pages into the book.

I'm on page 2. Seriously, a Harry Potter book hasn't started this excruciatingly slow since the first one. I hear the second chapter really takes off. Still, I haven't been able to start down the road to the end of the series. I'm probably projecting ... well, there's really no probably about it. I know exactly why I'm putting it off. Once I finish that book, a new chapter in my own life is starting in a lot of ways, and I'm not eager to head down that path either.

Yes, that's incredibly vague, but that's also how I'm feeling, so somehow, it's fitting.
